lytton finalIn response to questions concerning why Americans have such easy access to firearms, Professor Timothy Lytton explained the long tradition of private gun ownership in the U.S., the 2nd Amendment protection of an individual right to own a firearm, and the stalemate over additional gun controls in Congress and state legislatures in an interview on December 6 with Bulgarian International Television on the San Bernardino shooting. Timothy D. Lytton is a Distinguished University Professor and Professor of Law at Georgia State University College of Law and a member of the Center for Law, Health & Society.  His expertise is in the public policy implications of tort litigation. Lytton is the editor of Suing the Gun Industry: A Battle at the Crossroads of Gun Control and Mass Torts (2005).
